This new year is bringing about a lot of firsts, and this post is the premiere of these sorts. I'm in a new season, a wonderful one, with glorious ideas happening and in the works.
Today's post is about SC STOCKSHOP and how I used the gorgeous styled stock photography to build my new brand and online store.
You are probably already familiar with the term styled stock photography, but I'll give a quick low-down. Styled stock photos are images that are styled and sold to creatives to use on social media platforms and websites to help establish and maintain a cohesive look across the brand. Stock photos frequently pop up on instagram feeds and in email blasts, yet I personally continue to gravitate to and take mental screen shots of SC Stockshop images. They're gorgeous!
Shay Cochrane, the photographer and shop owner behind SC Stockshop, has an amazing eye for design. SC stockshop images are placed so naturally and are shot in high resolution, which allows zooming and cropping while maintaining a clear, crisp image. A perk with SC styled stock images? Each photo, or collection of photos, is available in a limited quantity which guarantees that your image(s) of choice will remain unique and not appear all over social media. The site features a shop by color option, which I think is brilliant, making it even easier to find the perfect images by shopping directly within your color palette. PLUS, sign up to be an insider, and you'll receive 10% off your first order and free monthly styled stock images!
How I used SC Styled Stock Images in my shop
I am a writer and artist passionate about style. I recently decided to create a new instagram feed as an outlet to share my words and to open a shop to make select prints available for purchase. While an eye for style and design is my thing, launching a shop was something totally new to me. I knew that I wanted to launch well and to establish a professional first impression. I chose the marble frame collection to display my art prints because of the classic, neutral colors of the white frame and grey-toned marble.
I branded my instagram feed with the same marble stock image and brought in pastel pink and dark grey font. I cropped parts of the marble to create another image and used some of the styled stock freebies!
To say the least, I am beyond satisfied with my decision to use SC styled stock images in establishing my brand. I feel confident with the cohesive, professional look and I am so excited to see where this takes me. And of course, I'm thrilled that I can share with you how SC STOCKSHOP helped make this dream happen!
